JYSK is an international chain of stores with Scandinavian roots, offering everything for the home. The first store opened on April 2 in Denmark in 1979. Today, JYSK has over 3,000 stores in over 51 countries. In Germany and Austria, the stores are called Dänisches Bettenlager, and in the rest of the world – JYSK.
JYSK is owned by the family of Danish businessman Lars Larsen. JYSK owns several companies with a total annual turnover for the financial year 2019/2020 of EUR 4.1 billion and a profit before tax of EUR 489 million.

In Bulgaria, JYSK entered the market in 2005. To date, the chain of stores has 38 locations, with a total of over 550 employees. The logistics center of JYSK Bulgaria is located in a state-owned industrial park in Bozhurishte. This is the eighth such base for the Danish company in the world.
